ISI Inc. is a spin-off company formed by the researchers of De La Salle University’s CATCH-ALL team. The CATCH-ALL project which started in January 2016 was a DOST-PCIEERD-funded project implemented by the researchers from Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) of De La Salle University, Manila. The aim of the research project was to develop an automated non-contact traffic violations apprehension system which has the capability for automated detection up to traffic ticket generation. It used a CCTV-based network that have AI-based video processing and analytics capabilities to detect, track, and classify passing vehicles together with its license plate numbers. The pilot system was demonstrated in Taft Ave. and Estrada St. junction in July 2017.

To aid the commercialization of research projects, DOST-PCIEERD initiated the FASTRAC program (an acronym for Funding Assistance for Spinoff and Translation of Research in Advancing Commercialization). The aim of the program is to launch and commercialize projects from universities so that government-funded research and technologies can be sustained and utilized for the benefit of the Filipino people. The CATCH-ALL team took the opportunity to commercialize the project and started the FASTRAC: CATCH-ALL project in January 2019. In September 2019, the ISI Inc. company was granted business registration by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). ISI stands for Intelligent Systems Innovation. It is currently incubated under Animo Labs Technology Business Incubator. The “CATCH-ALL” name was used as the company’s brand for AI-powered visual analytics products and services. The vision of ISI Inc. is to transform cities and communities into smart, sustainable, and safe urban centers with the power of artificial intelligence and data analytics for traffic and transport management.
